Desert Empire Fair Pre-Sale Coupons

Student Activities is selling pre-sale wristbands coupons. Coupons will be on sale until October 10. The wristbands are $16 and you can ride all day and this includes fair admissions. Student Activities office hours are Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. For information contact Anna Sue room 248 or call 384-6353.

Desert Empire Fair Booth

Cerro Coso will have two booth spaces this year side by side. The fair is from October 11 – 14. If you are interested in sitting at one of the booths this year handing out flyers and telling people about Cerro Coso please sign up at the switchboard or contact Karen O’Connor at 384-6172 for information.

Associated Students of Cerro Coso (ASCC) will be holding a Coyote Pride Day where students, staff, administrators, family and friends will be clearing away debris from around the college. Watch for updates for this event.

Astronomical Star Party & BBQ

Cerro Coso Community College and the Cerro Coso Community College Foundation are teaming up to sponsor the second annual Astronomical Barbecue & Star Party. Mark your calendars for this fun-filled fundraiser which is a benefit for the “Dr. Alex Shlanta Astronomical Observatory” at Cerro Coso.

The fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, October 19 with the barbecue dinner being held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the College Library’s front lawn and the Star Party beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Observatory. “Yesterdaze” a popular local band will be providing musical entertainment during the dinner. Presale tickets are adults: $10.00, children $8.00, and family four-pack $35.00. Tickets are available at Red Rock Books, Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, and the Cerro Coso Business Office.
