Instructor Recognition Award
The ASCC has ballot boxes located at the
Switchboard and at the Book Nook for students to nominate 1 full time
instructor and 1 adjunct faculty member. Nominations must be submitted
by Friday, March 31. To nominate a faculty member, please submit a
personal statement as to why you believe this instructor and/or
counselor should be honored. Honorees will each receive a plaque and a
cash award. Final selections will be by secret ballot on April 11th and
12th in the Student Center, watch for times. For more information
contact Anna Sue Eldridge at 384-6353.
Snack Bar Hours
Until further notice the snack bar hours will
be from Monday Thursday 9:00 am 1:00 pm with the grill closing at
1:00 pm.

Cosos Lost and Found is located at the Switchboard on the second floor
in the main building.

Battle of the Bands
The Associated Students of Cerro Coso (ASCC)
are hosting a Battle of the Bands Saturday March 11, 2006. This
event that starts at 11:00 am and ends at 6:00 pm will take place
inside the Cerro Coso gymnasium.
-
Participation will be limited to 10
bands and it is on a first come first serve basis.
-
The bands will play 30-minute sets
and placement will be luck of the draw.
-
A $25.00 entry fee will be charged
and must be paid at the time of submitting your entry blank.

The band must furnish their own
instruments and equipment.
-
Prizes will be awarded.
There will be food and soft drinks
available for purchase at this event. To sign up for this event or
for more information contact Anna Sue Eldridge or an ASCC officer in
the Student activities office Room 248, phone 384-6353.
Cerro Coso Community College Invites All Students (Getty Museum)
On March 30th, Cerro Coso College invites all students to experience
a day at The Getty Center in Los Angeles. Transportation is
provided.
Charter Bus leaves IWV campus at 8:00 am sharp!
Leaves Getty Museum at 4:00 pm for return to IWV campus.
Students may bring lunch or purchase lunch at the museum.
Sign up at the Counseling Center. There are 45 seats available to
any Cerro Coso Student. For information contact the Counseling desk
at 384-6219.
Note: It is the students responsibility to make prior arrangements
with instructors if missing class due to the trip.
