Description:

This Driver’s Education class will present to the beginning driver a practical and realistic guide to the fundamentals of driving and the rules of the road. This course will take the student step-by-step from the basics of vehicle control to the specific dangers of different driving environments to the responsibilities of vehicle ownership. The student will receive knowledge to help him/her be a safe and competent driver.

This course does not offer behind the wheel instruction, but it does meet the requirements of the California Department of Motor Vehicles for the DMV Provisional Permit and License. Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to take the DMV Permit Test and enroll in a six-hour behind-the-wheel driving course.

Parental consent required for students under the age of 18.

This Community Education class does not award college credit.
