RET C213 Content Review
Prerequisite INSF C070 and	The student needs the knowledge from INSF-C070, or its equivalent, the basic safe operating principles (SOPs) and the proper selection and usage of appropriate test and personal protective equipment to prevent potential industrial workplace hazards. The student might encounter these potential hazards in the lab, and if he/she is ignorant about safety, it can lead to personal injury or equipment damage.
Prerequisite RET C115	The student needs the knowledge learned from RET C115 for: (1) Understanding circuit schematics, wire tracing and fault isolation. (2) Understanding basic PLC operation. (3) Understanding of the safe operating practices when working with energized circuits. He/she also needs to know about the selection and usage of appropriate test and personal protective equipment specific to renewable energy (e.g. hazards of arc-flash). These areas of prior knowledge are needed by the student as the foundation for learning in this class, then applying it in the lab.
