    This course develops the expressive and receptive communication skills acquired in ASL 201. Students demonstrate competency and an advanced understanding of non-manual behaviors, topic-comment structure, sentence types, time, pronominalization, classifiers, pluralization, temporal aspects, locatives, subjects & objects, and distributional aspects.

  15. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES—Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to

    1. Identify and demonstrate sentence types, time, pronominalization, classifiers, pluralization, temporal aspects, locatives, distributional aspects and subjects & objects. This will be assessed by a demonstration, scored with a rubric.
    2. Describe and demonstrate American Sign Language (ASL) classifiers, grammar structure, facial expression, body movement, sentence types, time, pronominalization, classifiers, pluralization, temporal aspects, locatives, distributional aspects and subjects & objects. This will be assessed by a demonstration, scored with a rubric.
    3. Compose advanced ASL gloss translation from English and English translation in ASL gloss. This will be assessed by a paper, scored with a rubric.
    4. Demonstrate self-expression in ASL at intermediate level. This will be assessed by a demonstration, scored with a rubric.
    5. Examine and analyze the cultural in the book titled "Journey to the Deaf World." This will be assessed by a paper, scored with a rubric.
