Troops collected over 1140 items to send to
soldiers in the Middle East, and raised an
additional $1060.00 for postage. This was enough
to send 10 packages overseas.

Wisteria Lane meets WWF and National
Geographic
Superstores with lakeside condos and access highways,
or nature preserves, cultivation of agriculture and
recognition of native history? This valley had a volcanic
and rocky start.
A speaking event on the history and living culture of the
Kern River Valley will look at how we got here and where we
are going.. Join us at Cerro Coso each Wednesday evening in
September, 6:30-7:30 to learn different aspects of the past
and present Kern River Valley. Voice you opinion, ask
questions and learn about the culture, the remarkable
history and various plans of this beautiful mountain valley
we call home.
The forces that have come and gone in this valley, from the
military and western settlers to the ever increasing resort
weekenders are vying for different futures for the valley
and its residents. Will change bring higher wages? Will
change bring a better or worse standard of living than we
have now? What will the valley offer you and your family?

full basket to a family of 6 this year!
We donated 48
"Pick Me Up" toys to the children's wing and the
E.R. during Thanksgiving weekend to sick and
injured children.
