Cerro Coso Community College

 
Welcome to Cerro Coso Community College

Cerro Coso Community College was established in 1973 as a separate college within the Kern Community College District. Cerro Coso has five instructional sites (Eastern Sierra Center Bishop & Mammoth, Indian Wells Valley, Kern River Valley, and South Kern), which together form the largest geographical service area (18,000 square miles) of any community college in California and which serve a population of approximately 85,000. A leader in online education, Cerro Coso has been offering online classes since 1997 and offers 9 Associate degrees entirely online and as many as 100+ classes online each year, with approximately 100 sections per semester. 5.7 Summer Office Hours
The summer office hours for May 19-August 1, 2008 for the IWV and KRV campuses are Monday-Thursday, 7am to 6pm, closed Friday's. The Library is open M-Th, 9am until 9pm. The South Kern campus will be open Monday-Thursday 7am to 5pm, closed Friday's. ESCC hours TBA. [more about IWV hours]
   
5.7 Cerro Coso to Administer Placement Exams
In preparation for the summer and fall terms, and for student convenience, the IWV Campus, located in Ridgecrest will be administering the College Placement Exams in May and June. [more]

Directed by Daniel Peterson accompanied by Catherine Douglas.  The concert is free and the public is invited.  Doors will open at 7:30.

The Cerro Coso Community College Counseling Office hosted an “I’m Going to College” event for local fifth graders on Thursday, May 1 through the donations of the China Lake Rotary. [more]
